About the Position

Dexis is recruiting for a Catalytic Investments - Risk Consultant to support a U.S. Government Institution.

This pivotal role will be instrumental in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with high-impact investments aimed at driving sustainable development and economic growth in emerging markets. As part of a dynamic team dedicated to leveraging public and private sector resources, you will play a key role in ensuring the success and impact of transformative projects.

Work is primarily performed at the U.S. Agency's office in Washington, DC. Remote work may be permitted in accordance with the contract.

This position is contingent upon award.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and analyze potential risks related to catalytic investments, including financial, operational, political, and environmental risks.
  • Develop comprehensive risk assessment reports and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on investment opportunities, including assessing the viability and sustainability of projects.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and analyze relevant data.
  • Develop and implement effective risk mitigation plans and strategies.
  • Monitor and review the performance of investments to identify emerging risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Engage with project developers, investors, and other key stakeholders to understand and address risk concerns.
  • Facilitate communication and provide expert advice on risk-related matters.
  • Ensure that investment activities comply with the agency's policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of risk management policies and procedures.
  • Prepare detailed risk assessment reports and documentation for senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Present findings and recommendations in a clear and actionable format.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, economic conditions, and geopolitical developments that could impact investment risks.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis.
Qualifications
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, International Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, financial analysis, or investment assessment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex financial and operational risks.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of investment risk factors, including political, economic, and environmental risks.
  • Familiarity with blended finance and catalytic investment models.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex risk-related information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with development finance or international development sectors.
