JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a dedicated Privacy Counsel, Americas Privacy, to join our Global Privacy team at eBay, to play a crucial role in managing data privacy risks. The successful candidate will draft and negotiate data processing agreements, support business units in DPA reviews, and work closely on privacy impact assessments alongside improving risk assessment processes. The role involves ensuring compliance with privacy and AI laws across the US, Canada, and Latin America, advising on privacy integrations in product development, and managing employee privacy matters.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Draft and negotiate data processing agreements with various stakeholders.
- Efficiently support and triage incoming DPA review requests from Business Units.
- Lead in facilitating privacy impact assessments and enhancing communication during DPA reviews.
- Collaborate across departments to integrate privacy considerations in product and business processes.
- Monitor legislative changes and support the privacy program updates, including the management of privacy-related projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of privacy laws such as CCPA, CPRA, GDPR, and others.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with legal, engineering, and business teams.
- JD or equivalent with 2-5 years of privacy-related work experience, and membership in a U.S. State Bar.
