We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Data Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving our research efforts in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, computational biology, and organ transplantation. Responsibilities: Develop and implement advanced machine learning models and computational techniques to analyze large and complex datasets related to biological systems, organ transplantation, and immunological processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including immunohistologists, clinicians, and domain experts, to identify research challenges in organ transplantation and cancer, and design appropriate analytical approaches. Leverage big data analytics techniques to extract insights from diverse data sources, including clinical patients, experimental, and genomic data. Develop and optimize algorithms and computational pipelines for data processing, feature engineering, model training, and model evaluation. Conduct in-depth exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization to uncover patterns, trends, and relationships within the data. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI machine learning, bioinformatics, and computational biology, and apply relevant techniques to drive research initiatives. Contribute to the preparation of research publications, presentations, and grant proposals by summarizing findings and communicating results effectively. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior group members, fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment. Qualifications: Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related quantitative field. Proven experience in applying machine learning techniques, such as deep learning, machine learning, or ensemble methods, to complex biological or medical datasets. Strong background in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB, with proficiency in handling large datasets and utilizing relevant libraries and frameworks. Familiarity with bioinformatics tools, databases, and techniques for analyzing and interpreting biological data. Basic knowledge of immunology, organ transplantation, or related biological domains is highly desirable. Good analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and address complex research challenges. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
