Material Coordinator

Advantage Resourcing is excited to announce an opening for a Material Coordinator position with a prestigious engineering company based in Morgan City, LA. Pay Rate: $17.20 per hour Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM In this role, your responsibilities will include analyzing incoming used inventory for repair and coordinating the movement of components among various repair shops. You'll play a key role in contributing to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve overall component handling performance and monitor the flow of materials for onshore operations within the Americas Region. Additionally, you'll be tasked with managing assigned items and activities to support the Materials Control Group, coordinating with Configuration Management to maintain Item Attributes, and developing expertise in assigned items and commodities to assist in engineering change implementation. Utilizing Continuous Improvement (CI) concepts, you'll enhance processes and propose problem-solving solutions while collaborating across business functions such as Manufacturing, Inventory, Configuration Management, Technical, and Production Control. Furthermore, you'll analyze and manage slow or obsolete inventory disposition and prepare regular reports detailing performance on KPIs as directed. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Qualifications: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). One to two years of experience in a purchasing/warehouse environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of ERP/MRP Systems (JDEdwards, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft preferred), purchasing, inventory activities, and customer service principles/processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and databases. Familiarity with Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) components. Strong analytical problem-solving skills. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships, prioritize projects, and seek out new learning experiences. Proactive and detail-oriented work ethic.
