Overview:

Element has an opportunity for an Electrical Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team in Warren, Ohio. As a member of the operations team, the Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepares material specimens for various electrical test required for research & development of Electric Vehicles (EV) charging cable assemblies
  • Performs tests as directed by customer specifications
  • At times operates under the supervision of a more senior test technician and/or a Department Manager
  • Interacts periodically with customers
  • Gathers and records test data
  • Constructs and maintains various test fixtures and other laboratory equipment to ensure proper working order with little supervision
Skills / Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety
  • Minimum fo a two-year associate degree in electrical/electronic discipline and/or equivalent experience
  • Possess an aptitude for electrical or electronic technology
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of Voltage, AC/DC and OHM's Law
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a testing related field
  • Basic understanding of laboratory equipment including Multimeter and Oscilloscope
  • Analyzes and compiles testing data from the tests performed
  • Basic understanding of testing concepts
  • Must have 1-3+ years of Visual Basic-XL Macro's experience

Physical Demands:

  • Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate)
  • Lifting requirements: lifting 50 lbs. on occasion
  • Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically
