Job Summary and Qualifications

1 Obtains quality radiographs of patients in an acceptable timeframe.

2 Complies with radiation safety guidelines. Operates radiographic equipment safely.

3 Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations.

4 Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner and always identifies patients utilizing the proper protocol.

5 Prepare examination rooms for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.

6 Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents and all types of care to the patient with supervision of registered Diagnostic Technologist.

7 Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images with assistance of registered Diagnostic Technologist.

8 Works under indirect supervision of a registered Diagnostic Technologist.

9 Demonstrates willingness to assist in additional duties.

9. Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner.

10. Maintains strict confidentiality regarding employees and patients.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • High School Graduate / GED
  • Senior Student in Radiography program
  • Enrolled in an AMA approved School of Radiographic Technology program.
