Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our team as a senior member responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data solutions on the Azure platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with extensive experience in Azure services and a proven track record of delivering complex data projects. This role requires deep technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement end-to-end data solutions on the Azure platform, including data ingestion, storage, processing, and analytics.
Architect data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources into Azure data services.
Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support their data requirements and enable advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities.
Implement data security and privacy measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, sharing best practices and guiding them in implementing effective data solutions.
Evaluate new Azure technologies and tools, assessing their suitability for solving specific business challenges and driving innovation.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders, to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Azure data services.
Proficiency in Azure services such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Cosmos DB.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, and/or Scala, with experience in developing data pipelines and ETL processes.
In-depth understanding of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.
Experience with DevOps practices and tools for automating deployment, monitoring, and management of data solutions.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are highly desirable.
