Maintains and reconciles ledgers and accounts according to generally accepted accounting principles. Prepares and analyzes financial information, prepares reports, and financial statements based upon derived statistics and analysis performed. Independently completes complex proposals for a variety of sponsors and complex awards administration. Reviews formal financial reports to external sponsors, PIs, internal/external audits. Ensures federal compliance by reviewing procedures/policies and becoming a resource for faculty. Utilizes prior experiences to identify issues and offer guidance to others. Leading in collaborative work with other teams in the unit or on special projects with minimal manager support. Serves as a liaison to sponsors. Applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity. Other tasks as required by the Associate Dean/Associate Director. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, plus one year related experience or equivalency required. A thorough understanding of general ledger accounting practices, cost analysis, and accounting principles, as well as demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, human relations, and effective communication skills also required. Knowledge of PeopleSoft or Access databases may be preferred in some areas. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. Preferences
