Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our finance team. This role works directly with the CEO and Controller to execute FP&A function of the business, oversee financial reporting, and partner with executive leadership to deliver on company goals. They will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, competitive benchmarking and contributing to financial decision-making to drive company performance. They are expected to have strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. In addition, they will possess a broad knowledge of all accounting, financial and business principles.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.

Develop and maintain financial models for various business units and projects.

Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis.

Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting.

Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as needed to support decision-making.

Assist in the evaluation of potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions.

Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Advises, operates, and serves as an internal lead for senior management on budget and financial issues.

Drive the process to translate business line strategy into financial plans and targets, offering robust and insightful challenges during the budgeting and forecasting process.

Stay close to the teams you support so that you can proactively surface and address challenges before they become real issues.

Experienced in apparel or CPG to build out models providing ongoing visibility into sales, inventory, etc is a plus

Help to analyze seasonal sales trends, margins, customers and marketing strategies to capitalize on demand and place inventory buys from both domestic and international vendors

Must Haves:

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in senior financial planning and analysis (FP&A) roles

Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance or a related field

General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles

Experience developing financial reports and metrics

Understanding the needs of a high growth company from a financial perspective and applying them to cross functional departments.
