Summary The Logistics Clerk is responsible for handling activities and processes that regulate the supply chain, such as
domestic and international shipping by ensuring that all outbound shipments are correctly processed. The Logistics Clerk
oversees shipments through from start to finish and monitors their progress throughout the journey. Duties include, minimizing
losses for the company by making sure that the number of items sold matches the items available, reviewing shipping cost, as
well as managing shipping schedules by coordinating and arranging various modes of transportation for all outbound shipments.
Reviews maps and selects the best route for the shipment according to distance, time, cost and customer required dates.
Maintains clear and accurate records in the company's computer database by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Sort and attend to emails in a professional and friendly manner.
- Receive incoming calls and answer in a polite/professional manner.
- Assist in filing duties.
- Operate office machines such as photocopiers, scanners, voicemail systems, and personal computers.
- Prepare shipping document for domestic and international outbound shipment, including packing list, Bill of Ladings, EDI pallet labels, Certificate of Origin, NAFTA Certificates, Shippers Export Declarations and carrier shipping labeling.
- Schedule and monitor all prepaid and collect outbound shipments.
- Validate scanning system product workflow from finished goods warehouse to shipping out the door.
- Work and communicate with brokers, vendors, customers, sales team, freight forwarders and carriers to identify and resolve timing, condition, or other issues.
- Data entry within multiple systems.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to five years' experience in a Logistics
office with exposure to all domestic and international paperwork or 1-2 years' experience performing
administrative assistant duties in a professional office environment. or equivalent combination of education
and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and
procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before
groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions,
and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram
form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook Internet software; Manufacturing
software; Microsoft Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Nitro, Adobe and basic technical understanding of
HTML.
