Currently, we are recruiting for experienced Order Entry Pharmacy Technicians to join the Polaris team. OVERVIEWThe Order Entry Technician is responsible for entering prescriptions and refills into the pharmacy system with both speed and accuracy. Technicians must be responsive and courteous when addressing our customers needs. Successful Technicians are dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; understanding customer information and using it to improve products and services we deliver.SCHEDULE: Mon- Fri 9 am to 5:30 pm & 12 pm to 8:30 pm, rotating weekends. RESPONSIBILITIESEnter new and refill prescriptions into the pharmacy systemResolve and answer questions customers needs and requestsActively contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of client services, policies, and proceduresComply with government and department policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress codeFollow all applicable government regulations, including HIPPAEnsure safety policy and procedures are consistently adhered to and practicedOther duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needsQualificationsQUALIFICATIONSHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredPharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice Minimum of one (1) year working as a pharmacy technician (long-term care pharmacy preferred)Knowledge of brand name/generic medicationsExperience with alpha-numeric data entryMust have a basic understanding and ability to read and correct key prescriptionsBasic math computation skillsKnowledge of SIG codesProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook requiredAble to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageAble to work at a moderate speed Good organization/Attention to detailPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that should be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per dayThe employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, walkMay be necessary to work extended hours as neededMay lift and/or move up to 30 poundsThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this roleHOLIDAY & PTO POLICYWe provide qualifying full-time employees with 23 PTO (Paid Time Off) days annually. PTO is used for holidays, vacation, sick leave, and personal leave.
