Description

Summary: The Director of Information Technology (DIT) is responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the Silver Reef Casino Resort. The DIT will work with the Executive Management Team to promote growth within the Silver Reef Casino Resort, through the use of technological resources. The DIT will direct all team members in the Information Technology Department, to attain the Silver Reefs strategic goals and objectives established in the Silver Reefs strategic plan.

QUALIFICATIONS: (Include equipment knowledge/use)

Required:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business or Information Systems-.

Ten (10) years of progressive Information Technology experience-

Five (5) years of experience in the Casino industry In lieu of Casino industry experience, five (5) years' experience in a high-volume technology environment: insurance, finance, gaming, or internet retail

Four (4) years of experience as a Manager of Information Technology with seven (7) or more Full Time Team Members.

Ability to direct a 24x7x365 environment.

Advanced understanding and implementation of industry standards surrounding networking, security, virtual servers, information workflow, data storage, telephone systems, asset tracking.

Experience in contract negotiations, service agreements, vendor management, and project management.

Able to effectively convey technical information to non-technical audiences.

Must possess excellent leadership skills with the ability to direct the workforce, provide support to staff, and delegate appropriately.

Must be able to plan, organize, and complete work logically and independently.

Must possess well-developed interpersonal skills, initiative, and the ability to set and achieve high standards of performance.

Must be able to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations.

Must present an overall professional appearance and report to work in appropriate attire.

Must be able to work weekends, holidays and nights as needed.

On-call availability 24/7 is a requirement.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Support the company's strategic direction, development, and future growth by establishing the company's technical vision and technology roadmap that align with the organization's overall business goals Leads all aspects of the company's technological development.

Ensures a robust and secure technology infrastructure and establishes clear IT policies and processes to ensure data and system integrity and security.

Provide leadership to department heads in a fashion that supports the company's culture, mission and values by advising leadership and department heads, to improve their efficiency and effectiveness through proper use of technology

Lead, manage and evaluate the IT Department including developing and maintaining budget, policies and procedures, projects, security and technology compliance, vendor agreements and relationships, coordinates change management implementation throughout IT processes, and ensures that proper resources and talent are in place to meet approved objectives.

Manage the day-to-day maintenance of IT to ensure that the various information technology systems are fully functioning efficiently with little to no downtime or disruption.

Oversee the information technology development, design and production process and ensure high standards are maintained throughout and deadlines are met within the approved budget.

Directs the development and implementation of policies in instance of a breach, a disaster recovery plan.

Define technology strategies and ensure that processes meet expectations for federal, state and casino security.

Consistently evaluates technical efficiency and makes changes on demand.

Require to effectively convey technical information to non-technical audiences.

Conducts research and case studies on leading edge technologies and makes determinations on the probability of implementation.

Ensures control of IT and assigned departmental budgets.

Constantly requires specific vision abilities of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
