to view more details about this job. The United States Space Force (USSF) National Space Intelligence Center (Wright-Patterson) is searching for a Developmental Budget Analyst (GG-0560-7Target12)

Description: Are you looking for a new opportunity to put your financial management expertise to work? Come join the 2nd Space Analysis Squadron at the National Space Intelligence Center as a budget analyst. We're a new organization with a growing budget challenged with a unique mission protecting the nation's space services. Ideal candidates will have an academic background in business/finance/accounting etc. as well as experience with Department of Defense or similar financial management processes and systems.

Ideal Candidate: Ideal candidate will possess a degree in finance, business, accounting, or related field and have experience with Department of Defense accounting systems (e.g. ABSS, GAFS-BQ, CRIS, DEAMS, DTIMS, EDA, FM Suite, MOCAS, OARS, SDW). Relevant training may include Project Management Control System, Defense Financial Management Course, Financial Management Staff Officer Course, DoD Enhanced Defense Financial Management Training, Executive Leadership Development Program.

Key Skills and Abilities: 1. Knowledge of detailed intensive budgetary methods, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, and processes to formulate, justify, and execute work assignments in support of the mission, structure, goals, and work processes for substantive programs of assigned activities/organizations. 2. Knowledge of automated data processing software program(s) capabilities and usage to accomplish difficult or complex budget/funding tasks 3. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to negotiate complex issues and resolve conflict. 4. Ability to plan, develop, and integrate strategies to manage and improve financial management of program area. 5. Ability to develop and structure financial processes necessary to carry out goals and objectives. 6. Ability to utilize analytical and problem-solving techniques to accomplish goals.

Requirements: 1. Must be a U.S Citizen. 2. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret / SCI clearance. 3. May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments. 4. May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis. 5. Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise. 6. This position is eligible for situational telework (2-4 days a pay period) 7. PCS/Incentive funding is not available.
