Oversees hiring of all teachers and support staff for grades 5th - 8th, making sure staff adhere to PCS's Statement of Faith
Instruct and discipline students to grow in their walk with the Lord according to the Bible and student handbook.
Communicate regularly with parents, seeking their support to create a cooperative relationship that supports the students and the school's mission.
Demonstrate servant leadership in dealing with staff, students, and families of Peoria Christian School.
Take an active interest in the lives of those under your authority by getting to know them personally, discovering where they are spiritually and professionally, and helping them to take the next steps of growth in specific areas.
Create the MS Master Schedule
Observe classes on a regular basis to evaluate the instructional methods, strategies, and abilities of the staff while providing constructive feedback as needed to promote excellence and growth.
Supervise instructional programs.
Lead the school in educational objectives, philosophies, and goal implementations in congruence with the DNA of Peoria Christian School
Lead and help teachers implement best practices in education.
Stay abreast of educational developments through conferences, organizations, and publications.
Keep informed of the latest research, trends, and developments in all areas of education and interpret for staff as necessary.
Additional duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Board. Be computer literate.
Have good verbal and written communication skills.
Be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Demonstrate executive and management skills.
Meet everyday stress with emotional stability and optimism.
Possess organizational skills for detailed project assignments.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required.
Master's in education, curriculum and instruction, school leader, or other school-related degrees preferred.
Obtain and maintain the ACSI Principal certification.
