Our state-of-the-art Emergency Department sees an average of 130 patients a day. We have 29 rooms with 20 designated as Red (high acuity), 5 Yellow (moderate/low acuity), 4 Psych flex rooms and 4 Triage rooms. RN to patient ratios are: 1:1 - 1:4 depending on acuity.
What You'll Do:
Create a culture that fosters staff self-development and continued learning, ensuring the competence of all staff is assessed, maintained, demonstrated and improved continually.
Encourage feedback from internal and external customers, including patients/families, to monitor service effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement of work processes, and ensure that customer needs are met.
Engage in the performance improvement process to assure that the quality and patient safety within the unit to drive excellence in patient care.
Care for all age ranges (peds - geriatrics), 4:1 patient ratio, Level 2
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
GE cardiac monitors, zoll defibrillators, Epic EMR, Omnicell medication dispensing unit,
Three or more years progressive leadership / supervisory nursing experience required
Previous management experience preferred
Experience in an acute care environment required
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
Oregon Registered Nursing License
Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) by the American Heart Association or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC)
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and TNCC or equivalent for subsequent renewals
Weekends are required
