What Youll Do:

On-site position. You are a self-starting, collaborative individual that focuses on delivering reliable and secure solutions. You will be responsible for working on implementations of new architecture as well as operate and maintain currently offered solutions. You will provide continuous feedback to the architecture team with what is working and what is not through our collaborative tools. Develop automation workflows to streamline the deployment of solutions. You will partner with internal technical leaders to develop and drive solutions for complex issues, while minimizing downtime and impact to our users.

* Design and build network solutions

* Ensure network infrastructure is up and running with high availability

* Perform network maintenance and system upgrades

* Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning

* Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network problems

* Configuration and Support for labs network infrastructure - IOS-XE, IOS-XR, FirePOWER FX-OS, NX- OS, and ASA

* Provide support to users for network-related issues

Who You'll Work With

The CX Labs: Virtualization, Security, and Infrastructure (VSI) is a dynamic team of Network Engineers and System Administrators focused on implementation and operations of our systems and infrastructure that make up the Cisco's Customer Experience lab footprint. Our lab footprint spans many functional domains and technical areas from racking and bringing online enterprise and data center class hardware, operating 24x7 production solutions that drive the CX business, to incident response.

The VSI team is tightly interlocked with the Architecture team to ensure architectures are deployed to-spec. Additionally, a tight collaboration between the implementation/operations team and architecture is required. This drives continuous improvement across our entire solution portfolio.

Who You Are

Technical Qualifications:

* Enterprise or Data Center Support Experience (3 plus years) or Bachelors in a technical field (CS/EE/CompE preferred) equivalent to match 3 plus years of experience

* Collaborative attitude and being able to present solutions and take technical decisions partnering with different stakeholders

* Produces and shares intellectual capital (including documentation and training) within technology and adjacent areas.

* Possess understanding and ability to write scripts (bash, perl, python)

* Understanding Network designs and topologies.

* Effectively collaborates across technology silos to drive customer success and builds cross-technology knowledge

* Routing & Switching and/or Data Center background - Cisco experience preferred - Example: Platform knowledge (IOS-XE) (Nexus) (IOS-XR)

* Knowledge of WireShark and can analyze traffic flows to properly root cause network and/or application issues

* Experience in using distributed version control systems like Git

* Protocols : BGP, OSPF and EIGRP

* Platforms : IOS-XE, Nexus switches, Catalyst family, Firepower

Desired Skills:

* You have 3 plus years experience interacting with internal or external customers

* Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

* You hold a CCNP or equivalent level of demonstrated networking knowledge in Route/Switch, Security, or Service Provider

* You possess experience with Continuous Integration (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, TravisCI), Configuration Management solutions (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt)

* Linux and virtualization background

* Have foundational knowledge and experience with TCP/IP and Routing and Switching Protocols

* Knowledge in VPN, ISE, or other Security technologies

* You are dedicated to resolving sophisticated technical problems, multitasking, and being a customer advocate to achieve customer success
