There is never a cost for our services Successful, leading tier I automotive supplier is seeking a Quality Engineer to work in one of their production areas. As the Quality Engineer, you will report to a Quality Manager and will work closely with process engineers and production. Daily you will be responsible for the following tasks in a specific area of the plant: Maintaining quality assurance standards in a specific area of the plant Leading root cause analysis in the assigned area and establishing corrective actions Coordinating with production and engineering to maintain and improve quality standards Gathering documentation and information to support the PPAP process Developing, coaching and mentoring quality staff Communicating with customers on any quality concerns or issues Completing internal quality audits Creating and updating control plans and FMEA documentation Monitoring new launch processes and event trials Administering quality training Communicating with customers on any quality concerns or issues Presenting quality results and metrics on a regular basis to the management team Other duties as delegated by management This is a hands-on position that requires qualified candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 50% of their day, conducting quality line support and overseeing projects. You will be on the manufacturing floor daily communicating with the production staff and working with your team to continuously improve quality initiatives. Bachelor's degree in a technical related field with a manufacturing co-op and/or internship OR a high school diploma with at least 1-2 years of related manufacturing quality experience 2. Experience working in fast-paced, mass production environments 3. Experience with RCA 4. The desire to develop as a Quality Engineer 5. Microsoft Excel experience related to charts, graphs and formulas Skills preferred but NOT required:1. Customer communication 2. Machining and/or assembly experience 3. 5P or 8D problem solving 4. Experience creating control plans and FMEAs 5. Automotive supplier experience 6. PPAP documentation 7. Corrective actions 8.
