Department: EEG / Neurophysiology

Location: Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center

Schedule: Full Time Day Shift; Monday - Friday

Job Purpose:

Manages the day-to-day operations of neurophysiology services at the hospital. Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, monitoring staff performance, providing staff education, and implementing and directing Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement activities for the department. Participates in department budget preparation and management. Acts as a liaison between customers, technical staff, medical staff, and other departments within the hospital.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • High school graduate/GED.
  • Associates degree preferred, however in lieu of degree, 7 years of work experience in a healthcare setting.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • A minimum of one year previous leadership experience and three years of clinical EEG experience.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
  • Certified or Registered in one of the following: REEGT, REPT, CNIM, CLTM, CAP, or CMEG of Neurodiagnostics by ABRET.
  • REEGT strongly preferred
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BLS Certified
  • Evidence of leadership, critical problem-solving skills, prioritization, and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and clinical practice trends
