The Position

SUMMARY

The RDC (Roche Diagnostics Corporation) Corporate Credit team manages over 5,000 payers with an average daily balance of $500 Mn-$600 Mn. To deliver an excellent customer experience while mitigating risk, RDC Corporate Credit is optimizing our existing systems and embracing new technologies. The choice to transform will ensure our processes remain competitive in a rapidly changing business-to-business environment.

The Senior Credit and Collections Manager will manage a team of credit and collection analysts with end-to-end responsibility for a portfolio of customers. The Senior Credit and Collections Manager will mentor the team on effective Credit and Collections practices. The Senior Credit and Collections Manager is expected to drive financial results and partner effectively with all contracts to cash colleagues to deliver process improvement objectives that improve customer service levels, maximize revenue, improve cash flow, and minimize bad debt write-offs.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Manage a portfolio of customers and develop efficient and effective credit scoring and collections segmentation strategies that ensure we achieve our financial objectives, mitigate risk, optimize cash flow, and contribute to an improved customer experience.

* To maximize cash recovery, make pragmatic decisions on new deals, order releases, write-offs/write-downs, etc., based on customer and payment history.

* Negotiate effectively with the customers and internal stakeholders, even amidst contentious issues.

* Coach and mentor a Credit and Collections Analysts team on effective Credit and Collections practices.

* Ensure the team knows of and has access to industry-relevant information and approaches.

* Facilitate the team's development of strong relationships with our customer's AP department and key senior finance leaders to mitigate roadblocks to the order-to-cash processes effectively.

* Encourage staff members to manage their portfolios independently with minimal supervision.

* Actively Partner with internal stakeholders (Sales, Order Management, and Contracting) on order-to-cash processes that impact our ability to collect cash and efficiently service customers' invoicing needs.

* Leverage Agile methodologies to improve processes with the tools and resources immediately available.

* Create an environment where team ideas are recognized and transformed into action.

* Foster an environment of constant innovation.

* Assist with the development and delivery of the department's short-and long-term strategy. Ensure messaging to the team remains intentionally consistent with the culture we want to establish while keeping communication channels open so the team can see how their feedback is a significant component of the strategy.

* Motivate and develop team members using effective feedback techniques, be open to two-way dialog, and manage the annual performance review feedback process.

* Follow established financial, accounting, and credit policies and procedures to ensure quality and adherence to ICFR and auditing requirements.

* Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

* Provides support and assistance as needed. Performs other duties as requested.

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business related field.

* 7 years of progressive Finance, Accounting, or related experience.

* 6 years of experience in B2B Credit and Collections Environment.

* 5 years of management experience is preferred.

* Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles and practices, such as GAAP, FASB, ASC, or IFRS, and working knowledge of current internal audit procedures.

* Ability to plan and manage the utilization of resources.

* Ability to effectively lead and manage assigned staff.

* Ability to apply company policies and procedures.

* Ability to negotiate effectively.

* Effective written and verbal communication skills.

* Strong customer service skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS

* MBA

* CCE or comparable certification

* Google Office

* Tableau experience

This position is based on site at our Indianapolis campus. Relocation benefits are not available for this posting.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $110,100 to $204,500. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
