Position Overview:

We seek a reliable, friendly, patient, dedicated receptionist / Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. As one of our patients' first points of contact, you will be crucial in providing outstanding customer service while efficiently managing administrative tasks. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient care. Additionally, you can work closely with our dental team to ensure a seamless patient experience. Schedule: ● Monday to Friday, starting at 8:45 am ○ 8:45 am to about 5:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday ○ 8:45 am to about 3:30 pm on Wednesday and Friday ●

Candidates must have scheduling flexibility. Patient flow varies daily due to emergency appointments and time of year (i.e., before major holidays); one’s hours may increase or decrease accordingly. Responsibilities: ● Warmly greet patients and visitors, fostering a welcoming environment ● Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries promptly and courteously ● Check email regularly and respond swiftly when necessary ● Check voicemail on arrival and before departure, and respond speedily when necessary ● Reach out to patients to confirm appointments ● Calculate and collect patient copays, discuss financial options with patients when necessary ● Submit patient prescriptions electronically or over the phone when approved by the doctor ● Maintain organized and accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy standards ● Communicate effectively with patients, dental staff, and other offices as needed ● Assist with various administrative tasks, including scanning patient health history forms, copying documents, mailing referral cards, etc. ● Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent service delivery ● Utilize Dentrix software effectively to manage patient information and appointments ● Keep the front desk and waiting room clean and presentable ● Complete all other tasks assigned by supervisors Requirements: ● High school diploma or equivalent ● Previous experience in a dental or medical office is preferred ● Experience using Dentrix software is preferred ● Knowledge of CareCredit and dental insurance is preferred ● Computer literate ● Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment ● Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues ● Strong correspondence skills, writing or electronic (I.E., email) ● Compassionate and patient-focused approach to customer service ● Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times Benefits: ● Competitive salary based on experience ($20.00 - $24.00 per hour). ● Health insurance benefits ● Paid time off and holidays ● Profit Sharing Plan ● Positive and supportive work environment ● Opportunity to work in a small, close-knit team dedicated to providing high-quality dental care If you are passionate about patient care and have the skills to excel as a receptionist or patient care coordinator, we encourage you to apply.
