POSITION TITLE - REGIONAL PURCHASING SUPERVISOR - Bilingual - English/Korean Required - Sponsorship Available

DEPARTMENT - PURCHASING

REPORTS TO - PURCHASING MANAGER

Location - Montgomery, AL (Just outside) - 100% Onsite

Compensation - $75K - $85K (higher end for a very experienced candidate)

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for managing and delivering Americas' Purchasing-related activities for all new business opportunities, forward and current model programs on time and on budget. Guide, mentor, and supervisor more juniors Buyers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead purchasing interaction with program teams for regional and/or global programs and new business.
  • Develop, update, and maintain Bills of Material (BOM).
  • Ensure financial commitments are met by launch
  • Develop, maintain, and drive implementation of cost roadmaps.
  • Consolidate and analyze regional CBOMs for global programs/pursuits, and identify potential global sourcing opportunities
  • Consolidate and analyze regional BOMs for global programs/new business.
  • Ensure that all program timing deliverables are achieved including but not limited to supplier sourcing and tooling kick-off.
  • Work with the supplier development team to meet program timing requirements.
  • Manage change control, including RFQ, cost, timing, and implementation.
  • Coordinate program cancellation and obsolescence cost recovery.
  • Set up annual budget and manage cost savings
  • Manage commercial issue with supplier
  • Support and participate in EHS objectives
  • Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERINCE:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution/university with a preference for a degree in Business, Supply Chain, or other related field.
  • 5+ years of previous experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, and/or Program Management preferred.
  • Bilingual - English/Korean Required - Sponsorship Available
  • Preferred experience in Injection parts/Molding
  • Highly prefer Advanced skill in excel and experience in SAP
  • Automotive Industry experience preferred
  • Strong grasp of Microsoft Office applications, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and perform in a deadline driven environment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: May supervise junior Buyers WORK ENVIRONMENT: Primarily office work environment TRAVEL: Periodic travel may be required by car or plane.
