Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be responsible for mechanical research, development, and design of urban railway vehicles, ensuring that design meets the customer’s requirements.

● Design of mechanical system components of railway vehicles; production of parts for the mechanical system of railway vehicles; testing of completed vehicles. ● Compile training materials, work instructions and maintenance manuals. ● Debug and test the mechanical system of vehicles. ● Perform technical exchange activities of mechanical system of vehicles. ● Convert contracts into specifications that can be used for production, manufacture, procurement and inspection. ● Create technical documents for the Production Department, Support Departments, and customers. ● Ensure that the design control meets the requirements of quality system, product structure, material selection, functionality and other qualities of contracts and related laws and regulations. ● Plan, implement, verify and improve activities and documents concerning product design and development. ● Provide accurate procurement information and making preliminary selection of new product suppliers. ● Submit necessary technical documents to the Purchasing Department. ● Review and implement changes to design documents, ensuring accuracy, conformity, and timeliness of document changes. ● Compile and distribute technical documents. ● Submit first article inspection list to related departments or units and participate in the first article inspection work. ● Assess product non-conformity and forward assessment comments. ● Provide support to the After-sale Department. ● Provide purchasing specifications and service requirements of raw materials and parts. ● Using quality management systems, make timely diagnosis of problems in design and production and make recommendations for improvement. ● Collect, summarize and report data and information on related quality performance indexes. ● Design materials or products that minimize environmental pollution, meet environmental and safety requirements, and conserve materials, energy and resources. ● Learn related safety management systems and procedures of the company. Support and ensure safe production standards. ● Perform related duties as assigned. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: ● Minimum 2 years of industrial design experience. ● BS degree or above in engineering from an accredited college required. ● Possess professional knowledge relating to electronic engineering or electrical engineering. ● Be able to work in a fast-paced environment; follow quality procedures, management specifications and other regulations of the company and departments. ● Have excellent occupational ethics and professional standards; have sense of responsibility for their own work. ● Have ability to gain basic knowledge of electrical design of vehicles, and knowledge of electrical system of vehicles. ● Have ability to learn IRIS quality management system standards and theory; learn quality policy of the company, and how it applies to their department and position. ● Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. ● Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook.) ● Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. ● Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. Physical Requirements: ● Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, or local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. ● Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, or local standards.
