Environmental Compliance Specialist

Job Description Job Description Summary:We are seeking a passionate and motivated Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our company's adherence to all applicable environmental regulations and standards. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, monitoring activities, reporting, and developing and implementing compliance programs. This is a key position that contributes directly to our commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability.Responsibilities:Conduct routine inspections of facilities and operations to identify potential environmental hazards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.Collect and analyze environmental data, including air quality, water quality, and waste generation.Prepare and maintain comprehensive compliance reports for submission to regulatory agencies.Develop and implement effective environmental compliance programs, including training materials and procedures.Stay up-to-date on changes in environmental laws and regulations and advise management on potential impacts.Investigate and resolve reported environmental concerns and incidents.Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, engineering, and legal, to ensure seamless integration of environmental compliance throughout the organization.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our environmental performance.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.Must be willing to work outside during inspections or field work.Strong understanding of relevant federal, state, and local environmental regulations.Proven ability to conduct inspections, collect data, and prepare accurate and detailed reports.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.Experience with environmental management systems (EMS) is a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs.Company Description NuHire, LLC is a direct placement recruiting firm dedicated to helping candidates find long term permanent positions, NOT short term contracts.
