**Description**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

The incumbent will be responsible for the safe, efficient and timely delivery of concrete to customers driving a truck with a 78,000-pound capacity. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the quality of the product during delivery. The incumbent will conduct pre- and post-trip inspections including being responsible for thorough cleaning of truck post-delivery. This role is classified as safety sensitive. **BENEFITS**

**ACTIVITIES/TASKS/SCOPE**

* Operate and drive a mixer truck in a safe and efficient manner adhering to the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Greenhill Concrete rules and regulations

* Visually inspect the consistency of concrete in mixer

* Provide routine maintenance of equipment including fueling, cleaning, tire/light inspection, checking and adding fluids as needed

* Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage to the mixer truck

* Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered product

* Drive trucks with capacities of 10 yards of concrete

* Use water hoses, brushes and other cleaning supplies to maintain a clean mixer truck

* Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections

* Complete and maintain a DOT daily log book

* Assist maintenance with repairs as needed

* When needed, load twenty, forty-pound bags of ice into mixer

* Read or interpret maps or GPS devices to determine vehicle routes

* Operate equipment such as truck cab computers, CB radios, phones or GPS equipment to exchange information

* Fluctuate daily start and stop times based on customer demand

* Maintain good customer relations by acting in a professional and courteous manner

* Assist in training of co-workers as needed

* Other duties as assigned

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE**

* High School Diploma or GED required

* Must be 18 years or older

* Have a valid class A or class B CDL license

* 2-3 years of experience in operating a mixer truck preferred
