We have consistently achieved high marks from the VA in our CBOC's, and we are excited to discover first-rate colleagues to join our group.RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing a friendly, welcoming, and confidential environment for our Veterans who have served our country valiantly. We are seeking healthcare professionals who are driven and committed to ensuring the health and well-being of our nation's Veterans.Office hours are Mon - Fri 8:00am to 4:30pmNo evenings, holidays, on call, or weekendsThis is a Full - Time position.Supports patient care delivery via telehealth. This includes setting the veteran up with the telehealth provider, assisting remote provider in exam using peripheral instruments if necessary, setting up for follow up care as neededLearns to use telehealth equipment and complete studies such as teledermatology and teleretinal exams once trained and certifiedInterviews patients, measures vital signs and records information in patient's electronic medical recordCompletes all clinical reminders due at the time of each visit as alerted in the electronic medical record.Obtains medical histories from patients; verifies patient informationPrepares, assists, and accurately completes all formsAssists on-site providers during examinations and treatmentPerforms ancillary testing and tasks as ordered by the Center Medical Director (EKG, injections, blood draws, etc.) as trained and certifiedSchedules clinic appointments, patient check-in and/or out of the clinicJOB REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/GED Graduate of an accredited certificate programRegistered Medical Assistant (RMA), issued through ARMA InternationalKnowledge of computer systems to include the MS Office SuiteDemonstrate high-quality customer service Two years of continuous experience in clinical operations or medical office work post externshipBasic Life Support certification from American Heart Association BENEFITS SUMMARY: 401(k)Medical/Vision/Prescription/Dental PlansLife InsuranceShort/Long Term DisabilityPaid Time Off/Federal HolidaysColleague Referral Bonus ProgramThis job requires access to confidential and sensitive information requiring ongoing discretion and secure information management.
