Warehouse Manager

Asheville, North Carolina, United States The Warehouse Manager oversees the operation of the Pine Gate Renewables managed warehouse(s). You will oversee the efficient use of space, safe receipt, handling, storage, and dispatch of solar products. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail oriented and excels in multi-tasking and problem solving.
**What Youll Do**
* Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
* Recruit, select, and supervise warehouse staff.
* Develop, implement, train, and support warehouse staff on warehouse best practices, polices, and procedures.
* Maintain physical condition of warehouse facilities through planning, design layout, equipment inspection, and scheduling of maintenance and repair.
* Physical space management
* Establish and implement monitoring and security procedures and protocols.
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate health and safety legislation, policy, procedure, and requirements.
* Scheduling and assignment of shipments and employees
* Develop and maintain budgets for all PGR operated warehouses.
* Produce reports including utilization, space availability forecasts, in/out status, and inventory value.
* Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
* Reconcile inventory levels by conducting physical counts periodically.
**Must-Haves**
* At least 2 years experience in warehouse management
* Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
* Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
* Leadership skills and ability to manage hourly employees.
* Strong decision, problem solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to safely operate a forklift.
* Prior experience supervising employees.
**Nice-to-Haves**
* Solar or renewable energy experience
**Education and Certifications**
* High school diploma or GED.
* Degree in Logistics, or Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
**Working Environment and Physical Demand**
* Some travel required based on PGR operating warehouse locations.
