BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):
Welcome to this exciting hybrid job opportunity This job's training will be in North Bend, OR and ultimately become full time in Medford, OR. You do need to have your own reliable transportation for this hybrid situation.
Performs one or more aspects of cashier function of paying slot tickets for guests, adding all tickets taken in on a 10-key adding machine, exchanging denominations of currency for guests, redeeming cheques, and balancing their cash drawer at the end of their shift. Maintains cage records and reports as required.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.
- Perform cashier functions of paying slot tickets for guests, adding all tickets taken in on a 10-key adding machine, exchanging denominations of currency for guests, redeeming cheques, and balancing their cash drawer at the end of their shift.
- Assists other cashiers as necessary.
- Provides excellent guest and team member relations.
- Maintains all assigned records and reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Complies with all applicable internal controls and reporting requirements.
- Maintains appropriate security measures to protect company assets and confidential company information.
- Complies with all applicable company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for reporting Title 31 information.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum one year cash handling experience; ability to keep paperwork "in balance"
- Willingness and ability to learn to perform in any cashier location: customer window, employee service window, and main bank.
- Ability to operate 10-keyadding machine/calculator with high degree of accuracy.
- Customer service experience
- Team oriented
- Ability to learn to conduct cashier functions in accordance with prescribed standards
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT (the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Ability to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as business demands. While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally sit. Must be able to lift up to and including 40 pounds. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, manage anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately. The casino work environment may expose you to second hand smoke on a regular basis.
