Tri Pointe Connect, the mortgage affiliate of Tri Pointe Homes is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic individual to join our talented group as a Processing Manager.

Position Highlights: The Processing Manager at Tri Pointe Connect works directly with a team of Loan Processors to facilitate obtaining mortgage financing for Tri Pointe Homes buyers. The Processing Manager will lead a team of loan processors through all aspects of loan processing, including daily workload management, file prioritization, managing and decisioning escalations, and monitoring productivity and loan quality. The Processing Manager is responsible for ensuring loan processors perform their jobs with the highest level of customer service while ensuring loan productivity and quality metrics are continuously met. A successful Processing Manager at Tri Pointe Connect displays a strong desire for unparalleled customer service, is willing to work in a team atmosphere, employs excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), is well-organized, has deep mortgage industry knowledge, and is extremely detail oriented. Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day to day operations within processing team to ensure excellence in customer service, compliance with all policies procedures, and regulations, as well as productivity and quality standards are met
  • Assist processors with questions about guidelines or documentation acceptability
  • Monitor processes and efficiencies and work with Regional Processing Manager to identify key areas to improve productivity, loan quality, and the customer experience
  • Manage pipeline deadlines to ensure loans are submitted to critical milestones to meet purchase contracts close of escrow dates
  • Conduct 1:1s, huddles, and departmental meetings to ensure consistent communication is provided to all team members
  • Communicate verbally and electronically with internal and external parties applicable to the transaction including but not limited to loan consultants, builder representatives, real estate agents, homebuyers, title/escrow agents, homeowners insurance agents, and others
  • Ensure team compliance with company policies and procedures in addition to all State and Federal Regulatory requirements
  • May be required to perform processor duties in times of need, including but not limited to reviewing file for completeness, reviewing documentation submitted by borrowers and third parties, ensuring documentation and data are complete and accurate, as well as submitting loans to Underwriting
  • Maintain updated communication logs as well as provide regular and accurate status reporting within Encompass
  • Responsible for all aspects of personnel management including hiring, employee evaluations, disciplinary actions, salary recommendations, and termination, with guidance from Regional Processing Manager and Human Resources
  • Address all escalations within a timely manner, working with internal operations, sales team members and leadership to resolve internal and external concerns with respect to loan decisions or loan conditions
  • Provide coaching and career development to team members seeking to expand their knowledge and experience
  • Respond to post-closing audit requests as well as assist with resolution for any closed loan files requiring additional documentation
  • Assist with developing relevant training materials, checklists, or additional supplemental documents to help teach and train on various underwriting-related processes or guidelines
  • As required, participate in special projects or assignments

Position Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years mortgage experience, including 2 years of direct management experience; purchase/builder experience preferred
  • MS Office; including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Loan Origination System experience, Encompass, preferred
  • Position is an in-office role, located in Scottsdale, AZ

Job-Specific Core Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA guidelines and AUS
  • Strong regulatory knowledge, including ECOA, HMDA, RESPA, and other applicable Federal or State-specific guidelines

  • Strong time management skills along with the ability to prioritize workload and escalations while maintaining department service levels

  • Ability to work cooperatively with Homebuilder Partner on a daily basis
  • Ability to resolve time-sensitive escalations in an urgent manner, ensuring processes are in place or implemented to mitigate future escalations

  • Strong ability to effectively manage through times of growth and change
