Requirements

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a diverse group of plumbers, each with their specialties and experience levels to ensure efficient and high-standard project completions.
  • Foster a collaborative environment with clear communication. Ensure that every team member feels valued.
  • Works with the Operations Manager on technical abilities of staff members and appropriately pairing them to the job.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Train, improve and develop processes for the plumbing technicians.
  • Direct sales lead flow to assure successful business growth.
  • Manage gross margins and budget guidelines for your portion of the plumbing service department.
  • Exhibit a safety-first approach during all work activities.
  • Provide accurate and timely business reports and necessary debriefing.
  • Set a positive tone every day for the entire department.
  • Work closely with Operations Manager to achieve sales goals.
  • Coach, motivate and train the plumbing team to exceed team and individual goals.
  • Communicate and align with other departments and functions.
  • Mentor and develop the plumbers and dispatchers to ensure appropriate sales metrics.
  • Communicate clearly, show recognition, and build rapport with employees.
  • Ensure sufficient staff levels to meet ongoing customer demand and seasonal spikes.
  • Helping trainees become licensed and train them to become mentors.
  • Manage schedule along with the dispatch department to help meet demand of company goals.
  • Performs other duties/special assignments as required, assigned or to meet the ongoing needs of the department/Company.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Possess strong analytical skills and a clear understanding of financial data and trends.
  • Knowledge of safe work methods and practices.
  • Knowledge of tools and materials used in plumbing installation, maintenance and repair work.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local codes.
  • Ability to train and supervise others.
  • Ability to work well as a team member; self-driven, reliable, and responsible.
  • Excellent computer and software skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Thorough understanding of operations policies and practices.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years plumbing / managerial experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional work experience.
Certifications:
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Journeyman or Master Plumber.
