Provides coordination and support of Project Management Office (PMO) efforts for Client.

The Senior IT Project Manager Consultant position works closely with project leadership, state staff, and other vendors to ensure successful delivery of Client's PMO services.

This position supports project management, plan development, status reporting, training, and other PMO related services at the direction of the Client project leadership.

Job Responsibilities Include:

Manage client projects through full lifecycle.

Lead projects where analysis of systems or data requires an in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system process, and industry standards.

Execute schedules, costs, and documentation to ensure assigned projects come to successful conclusion.

Initiate corrective action to stay on project schedules.

Facilitate internal team and external client meetings.

Develop integrated project management plans, sub-plans, schedules, and work plans.

Provide advanced knowledge of system development methodology, project management, and system architecture.

Work with senior client leadership on project or program strategy and execution.

Work with the client Master Scheduler to develop integrated project schedules.

Develop and present weekly and monthly executive status reports.

Regularly mentor and review work of less experienced employees.

Ensure project work is completed on time and with high quality.

Basic Qualifications:

A minimum of ten (10) years of project management experience with medium to large sized information technology projects.

A minimum of three (3) years consulting in a PMO.

A minimum of three (3) years of project management experience working in government.

Bachelors degree, or equivalent work experience.

Project Management Professional certification (PMP)

Preferred Skills:

A minimum of five (5) years of experience working as a consultant in a client-facing role.

Education: Bachelors Degree

Certification: Project Management Professional certification
