Dick Smith Ford is hiring in our Service Department for a Part-Time Cashier/Warranty Clerk.

* 20 - 25 hours per week

* Must work Saturdays

•Warranty Clerks are responsible for managing warranty papers and claims. Warranty Clerk duties are collaborating with managers and technicians, fulfilling warranty requirements, solving warranty issues, monitoring defective products, maintaining records of customer details, and reporting to warrantors.

•Warranty Clerks ensure that their employers are paid for all product maintenance parts or replacements covered under a warranty. They organize, process and review warranty claims made by the customers. The warranty clerk should have exceptionally high ethical standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and previous retail and/or customer service experience that includes money-handling and point-of-sale (POS) system experience. Ford warranty experience required. Candidates must have a pleasant and courteous personality, strong administrative and organizational skills, good computer and internet skills, and an excellent customer service focus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receives and processes payments for products and services
  • Accepts responsibility and accountability for his/her money drawer
  • Perform research on warranties and prepare customize warranty papers for work.
  • Ensures that all customer contact information is up-to-date and accurate
  • Review all warranty claims and administer it with warranty awarded.
  • Coordinate with manager and prepare repair order for authorization as per warranty requirement.
  • Assist various departments and fulfill all warranty requirements.
  • Assist customers with all warranty service and prepare associate documents.
  • Monitor all customer inquiries and requests on all warranty issues.
  • Supervise all information and update database and prepare require filling documents.
  • Maintain knowledge on various warrant programs by active participation in education programs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and ensure compliance to all warranty specifications.
  • Evaluate databases and complete all data entry for warranty claims and filings.
  • Prepare and maintain all warranty documents according to distributor and manufacturer requirement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ford warranty experience, preferred
  • Point-of-sale (cash register) and credit or debit card processing skills
  • Previous retail and/or customer service experience, preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong math skills and the ability to handle financial transactions rapidly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance
  • Previous customer service or related experience preferred
  • Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Highly trustworthy and security conscious
