General Summary:

Under the direction of the Corporate Compliance Officer, the Assistant Compliance Officer aids in the review and evaluation of compliance issues/concerns within LifeWays and its contracted provider network to ensure LifeWays achieves a consistently high-level of adherence with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards; that individuals at all levels of the organization adhere to LifeWays policies, procedures, and Code of Ethics.

Essential Functions:
  • Implement LifeWays' annual Corporate Compliance Program and Plan.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to LifeWays staff and contracted providers regarding compliance and ethical standards.
  • Conduct trainings and presentations for LifeWays staff and contracted providers.
  • Assist contracted providers with the review and successful development of their compliance programs.
  • Audit potential areas of Medicare/Medicaid fraud, abuse, waste, or improper claims.
  • Investigate allegations of non-compliance and make recommendations for remedial actions based on those findings.
  • Conduct an annual corporate compliance risk assessment and others when needed.
Required Education/Licensure/Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public or Health Administration, or a related field.
  • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
  • Mental Health First Aid Training, upon hire.
Preferred Education/Licensure/Certifications:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Public or Health Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • Current certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC)
