Were looking for friendly and professional team members to join Populist Cleaning Co as dedicated Floaters. A Floater serves a critical role in the company. As a Floater, youll be cross-trained in many buildings so that you can jump in as needed to cover those jobs.

**Location**: Floater positions are available in our East branch (Farmington Hills) and Main branch (Ypsilanti)

**Hourly rate:** Starting at $15.50; will increase to $16/hr after 90 days.

**Working hours:** Monday-Friday, 7am to 3pm, 40+ hours. Hours may vary slightly.

**Stipends:** Cell phone stipend of $25 plus a fuel stipend of $100 per paycheck. Must have reliable transportation.

Populist Cleaning Co Responsibilities Your day usually begins around 5 or 6pm. With this position, you have a certain degree of flexibility, making it easier to fit into your schedule.

Wearing your Populist Cleaning Co attire (uniform apparel is provided) and badge, youll report to work either at a customers building or at the Populist office to pick up supplies, assignment sheets, data sheets, and/or keys for that nights assignments.

**While every day will be different, common tasks include:**

- Dust furniture, equipment, partitions, walls, etc.

- Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, floors, toilets, mirrors, tables, chairs, refrigerators, microwaves, etc. in restrooms, break rooms, and/or kitchenettes

- Replenish supplies in restrooms, break rooms and kitchen

- Sweep, mop, vacuum and/or hand scrub floors using brooms, mops, and vacuum cleaners

- Empty trash cans and recyclables into disposal areas

- Wipe down walls and woodwork, doors, wall hangings, baseboards, etc.

**In addition to the tasks listed above, you will:**

* Represent the Populist Cleaning Co. brand and standard of professionalism in appearance, conduct, and quality of work.

* Clock in and out on a landline phone at each assigned building unless specifically directed otherwise, per the company handbook.

* Speak up if you see potential safety or maintenance issues on a customers property and communicate them to a Populist Manager.

* Perform services to established standards and ensure the clients facility is locked and secured when you finish and leave.

* Carry out special requests for customers as requested by a Populist Manager.

* Comply with all safety policies and procedures relating to the performance of tasks, use of products or supplies, and incident reporting.

* Be on call during assigned hours and take direction from Populist Management or another dispatcher as necessary, when buildings need to be serviced or troubleshooting in the field is required.

* Participate in any required training and professional development programs

Qualifications

* Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate and relay information between the team, customers, and office staff.

* Detail-oriented pays attention to details at each customers location, with extra attention to any special requests.

* Friendly and Professional able to deal with customers when they are on-site while cleaning is being performed

* Team player Ability to work within a team where members depend on each other to get work done.

* Leadership-able to take charge and make decisions when needed

* Self-starter - able to identify work that needs to be done and do it without being instructed to do so.

* Desire to learn, seek new challenges, and take on additional responsibilities

* Reasoning ability - Good common sense with the ability to solve practical problems.
