Director of Finance

CFS is partnering with a Health Center seeking a full-time Director of Finance. The role involves providing timely and reliable financial information to the Management and Board of Directors, establishing robust internal controls to safeguard assets, and overseeing various financial areas such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Budget, Purchasing, Payroll, cash projections, and liquidity projections.

Responsibilities of The Director of Finance:

• Preparing and presenting financial statements and reports for review by the Chief Financial Officer.
• Maintaining necessary and timely Balance Sheet account proofs of the corporation.
• Reviewing monthly budget vs. actual reports for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Advising agency administrators on development of annual budgets.
• Interviewing, hiring, evaluating, and supervising staff in the Finance Department to ensure effective and efficient performance of accounting activities.
• Coordinating necessary actions with outside accounting firms for annual audit and cost report duties.
• Providing assistance to the Chief Financial Officer as requested to execute special projects.
• Developing reimbursement rates for agency through cost date analysis
• Participating in the development and preparation of rate appeals, under direction of CFO.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelors degree, preferably in accounting or finance
• Masters degree preferred
• Proficiency in general ledger systems and subsystems
• 3+ years of experience in accounting and finance, medical setting preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of Excel pivot tables and formulas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work under pressure with strong attention to detail.
