WSI is currently seeking Weekend Shift Material Handlers/Forklift Operators for its distribution center. These positions offer a $1,500.00 sign on bonusUnder general supervision, the Material Handler/Forklift Operator performs a variety of assignments, both technical and clerical, to receive, inspect, store and ship material but not limited to receipt, control, preparation, material distribution, records, and reports. Receives general direction on new assignment aspects and instructions as to how to perform required tasks and results expected.Essential FunctionsOperates material handling equipment to receive, store, and ship material.Performs receiving and shipping inspections and identifies all incoming and outgoing material shipments to determine a) quantity is as ordered b) no damage is apparent, and c) documentation is available as required.Performs physical material inventories to establish, maintain, and document the receipt, shipment and control.Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. on a consistent and regular basis.Must be able to work overtime, and on scheduled days off, with little or no advance notice.Other duties as assigned.Required Skills/AbilitiesMust be able to understand, read and write basic English.Must be able to perform basic math calculations: Addition, Subtraction and MultiplicationMust be able to read and understand the English alphabet.Must be able to coordinate a series of activities simultaneously.Must show willingness and ability to work as part of a team.Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.Must be observant, detailed and safety oriented.Must be able to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. throughout the day.Must be able to understand and adhere to all safety requirements.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.Forklift Certification preferred.Benefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K after 90 daysSign on Bonus - $1500.00Ability for professional growthSteel toe and prescription safety glasses reimbursementPerformance Reviews at 90 days, 6 months and annuallyUniform allowanceReferral Bonus - $750.00 after 90 days of employmentSalary: From $15.00 per hourWarehouse Services Inc. is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
