In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development. The work model for the role is Hybrid. This role contributes to the Process Automation Process Industries division in Salt Lake City, UT or Taylorsville, UT. Relocation assistance is available for this role. You will be mainly accountable for: Executing purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. Designing and implementing plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products/materials to reach business targets. Supporting in implementing effective local sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements. Applying and implementing procurement standards, tools, and processes in your area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability. Our Team Dynamics

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, mechanical or electrical engineering. 10+ years of experience in project procurement activities working in procurement, supply chain management, or similar function with complex product portfolio in an industrial environment required. Technical electrical education with further training in business administration, supply management or project management. Experience with procurement controls and regulations and legal contracts. Strong technical knowledge in electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgears, modular e-houses, Motor Control Center, etc. Strong written and spoken communication skills in English. Available to travel 10-20% on short duration business trips both domestic and limited international. Familiarity with SAP, SAP Ariba, MS Office, Salesforce.
