Rate :$55/hr. on C2C

Visa: No H1

Duration: 9 months

Interview Process: PS then Onsite/Skype

Hours / Shift: 9-5 M-F; Summer Fridays

Parking:

Day to Day:

  • Building the new self-service web portal that is responsive and will show well on a smartphone/tablet
  • Working with and leading an offshore team

Must Haves:
  • 5+ years of full stack java development experience - web application development
  • Angular or React experience.
  • Rest API's
  • Microservices

Description:

Hachette Book Group seeks strong Full-Stack Java Developer to develop, maintain and design enterprise applications. You will be highly driven, quick learner, have excellent communication and be a proven leader. The ideal candidate will enjoy the opportunity to further developing their skills in a productive, challenging, and creative environment. Must have experience developing web applications with responsive web design and a java backend using Web services, Rest API's, Micro Services, AngularJS/ReactJS and Oracle database.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Bring leadership skills applied in a technical context with a team of developers (spread across US/NY/BOS and India)
  • Design, implement and maintain enterprise applications built using Java, AngularJS, Oracle and frameworks
  • Be a key leader in the agile process fostering collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and transparency
  • Steer and mentor a team towards a common technical vision

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • At least 5 years of overall development experience
  • 4+ years demonstrated real world experience in: Enterprise web application development, Java, Software engineering principles such as software design patterns, Database principles with MS-SQL, Oracle.
  • Knowledge and experience in web service design and implementation
  • JavaScript framework experience such as Angular
  • Experience with mobile development including native, hybrid and web
  • Working knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment and DevOps principles
  • Understanding of BDD and TDD styles
  • Experience mentoring and guiding junior developers
  • Excellent team player with the ability to influence and negotiate
