Duties and Responsibilities: As a Compliance Specialist at Richsmith Management, your duties will include:
  • Performing file audits and advising communities of errors or missing documentation.
  • Reviewing household move-in or household recertification to ensure compliance with Section 42, HOME, HUD, or NSP program guidelines.
  • Collaborating with Community Directors and Regionals to address file audit findings.
  • Maintaining a log of audited files and files to be audited.
  • Following up on applicant or existing household preapprovals and maintaining files.
  • Attending and traveling to Tax Credit Inspections for assigned communities.
Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should have:
  • Minimum 2 years of background in compliance for LIHTC residential properties.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of LIHTC and HUD regulations.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time.
  • Experience with property management software, with OneSite experience being a plus.
