Dental Assistant

Dental Assistants help dentists to ensure dental procedures go smoothly and patients are comfortable. Duties and responsibilities of the Dental Assistant include: Preparing exam rooms, sterilizing instruments and ensuring necessary equipment is ready for dentists Assisting dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating needs Taking and processing X-rays of patients Processing lab work for the dentist Greeting patients as they arrive and scheduling appointments Taking billing and insurance details from patients Advising patients on recommended oral hygiene Updating and maintaining dental records Handling general administrative and other duties to maintain the dental clinic Benefit Conditions: Waiting period may apply COVID-19 Precaution(s): Personal protective equipment provided or required Temperature screenings Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place Duties: Assisting chair-side Taking records, impressions, or x-rays Using computers to update electronic patient records Assisting with lab tasks as needed Assisting with front office tasks as needed Clinical Setting: General Dentistry Work Remotely No This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is: Dependable more reliable than spontaneous People-oriented enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects Autonomous/Independent enjoys working with little direction Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $17.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Schedule: 10 hour shift Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Dental Assisting: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: Registered Dental Assistant (Preferred) X-Ray Certification (Preferred) Work Location: In person
