The Financial Coordinator position at Pinnacle will allow you to engage with the patient throughout their journey while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care.

We are seeking a Financial Coordinator to join our dedicated team at Oregon Reproductive Medicine. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Be the guardian of the patient's financial journey and strive to deliver an exceptional patient interaction with every phone, text, email, message, video and in person communication.
  • Have high level knowledge of insurance benefits, coverage limitations, authorizations and billing contracts and can effectively explain how this will impact the patient's financial journey.
  • Assist with obtaining insurance benefits/notifications/coverages and prior authorizations alongside the Financial Coordinator Assistant and CBO staff.
  • Understands and can efficiently explain financial programs (ex; CapexMD) and pricing structures.
  • Accurately calculate and explain estimated patient responsibility, consult with patients regarding fees and their financial obligations, provide payment options and expected due dates.
  • Reviews financial history prior to cycle start, determines and requests deposits/payments/past due balances for treatment cycles.
  • Reviews financial checklist/schedule to determine if patient has green light to start service (ie: referrals, pre-auth, waiver, payment, etc).
  • Participates in the implementation of procedures by the IVF/NAV/clinical team to ensure the patient remains supported from a financial aspect.
  • Maintains required records, reports and files, and documents patient accounts appropriately.
  • Communicates with other departments verbally or in writing concerning patient account status while maintaining confidentiality of unrelated patient information.
  • Assist with training/shadowing new/potential Financial Coordinator personnel.
  • Acts as a liaison between CBO and the patient and is responsible for reviewing, interpreting, and explaining patient accounts when patient presents conflicting account information.
  • Conduct ongoing review of AR with patient responsibility for services. Enter financial notes in the billing system to ensure a clear history of actions taken.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma acceptable with appropriate hands-on experience. Associate Degree in accounting or business is preferred.
  • 2 years' experience in a medical office working within patient accounts required.
  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer. Medical software program experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of office procedure and office machines (i.e. computer, fax, copier, etc.).
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment.
  • Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.
  • Ability to remain calm and poised under stress.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$23.00 - $29.00 hourly

The compensation range for this position is between $23.00 and $29.00 per hour.Final compensation offers will be determined based on factors such as years of experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, dental, life, and vision insurance. Other benefits include generous paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, and a retirement savings program. Further details regarding salary and benefits will be provided during the interview process.
