Investment Accountant

Our client, an investment firm, is seeking to bring on an Investment Accountant to their Fund Services Team. This role will provide growth for your career and you'll have the ability to take on new responsibilities as you progress internally. For work strcuture, this position sits in a flexible hybrid setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the third-party administrator (“TPA”) on a daily basis to ensure comprehensive and accurate maintenance of the funds' books and records, timely execution of financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP standards, and prompt and precise completion of investor reporting.
Execute cash management tasks, including initiating wire transfers for investment company purchases and fund expenses, verifying wire instructions and confirming accuracy, facilitating draws and paydowns on the funds’ lines of credit, and reconciling capital calls.
Contribute to the preparation of financial statement audits and regulatory compliance reporting.
Review investor K-1s and other tax reporting and filings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Perform thorough preparation and analytical review of weekly and monthly fund performance reports and investor reporting.
Provide support to investment and client service personnel by fulfilling ad-hoc requests promptly and efficiently.
Assist in various special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in fund accounting within the private equity, hedge funds, fund of funds, or mutual funds industry
Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting
CPA preferred
Strong understanding of investment strategies across equities, fixed income, hedge funds, private equities, and real estate
Proficiency and knowledge of MS Officer (Excel, Word, Outlook) Adobe, CRMs, etc.
