Senior Fund Accountant

A real estate investment group is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join their team on a contract to hire basis

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day accounting activities for real estate investment funds, including recording fund transactions, reconciling cash and investment accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for investment funds in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate the preparation and distribution of investor reports, including capital account statements, performance summaries, and tax information, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to fund investors.
  • Assist with the annual audit process, including the preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries to facilitate the completion of fund audits.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience in fund accounting, preferably within the real estate investment industry or financial services sector.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools, with experience working with real estate investment management systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI) considered a plus.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
