Base pay range $79,000.00/yr - $94,000.00/yr Dynamic Manufacturing, Inc., one of the most trusted and leading tier-1 automotive manufacturers in the United States has an opening for a detailed Supply Chain Packaging Engineer. This role will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement, storage, and protection of goods throughout the supply chain. Maintain packaging specifications, standards, and drawings. Ensure packaging meets product protection requirements, ergonomic standards, and compliance with regulations (e.g., hazmat or environmental laws). Design and implement reusable and returnable container systems to reduce waste and improve cost efficiency. Work to standardize container types across the corporation to simplify logistics and reduce complexity. Assess and optimize packaging and container designs to improve transportation efficiency (e.g., maximizing cube utilization). Work with procurement, suppliers, logistics, and engineering teams to align packaging requirements with supply chain and customers. Create and maintain packaging specifications and details in customer portals Help drive initiatives to use recyclable or biodegradable materials to align with corporate sustainability goals. Work to reduce the environmental footprint of packaging by optimizing material usage and implementing reusable systems. Develop and Track performance through key KPIs developed with senior management. Troubleshoot packaging and container-related issues in the supply chain. Perform root cause and corrective actions to ensure issues are eliminated. Analyze cost implications of packaging materials and container systems. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field is strongly preferred. Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in supply chain with a manufacturing company or similar industrial set. Background in packaging design for manufacturing. Exposure to automotive manufacturing is strongly preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work collegially with all corporate personnel and as part of a cross-functional team whether as the leader or participant. Ability to identify problems or potential problems and develop and implement solutions. Authorized to work for any employer in the USA without restrictions.
