Our third-party validated charge-control solution improves battery performance metrics, such as charge speed and cycle life, by 2x to 4x, no matter the size or complexity of the product.Role Summary:In this role, you'll be tasked with performing essential duties as a part of both the Iontra research team and the product development team. You'll be responsible for implementing and consistently maintaining a disciplined and planned set of daily and ad-hoc processes and laboratory activities described below to advance our technologies and applications. This is a full-time role located in our Centennial, CO office in a fast-paced startup environment. Salary Range: $140 - $160k (salary is based on education, experience, skillset, and market value). What You'll Be Doing: Architecting and leading electronics hardware for battery applications Drafting schematics and using PCB CAD layout software Interfacing with embedded systems that are a mix of hardware and software Outlining, defining and performing engineering tests Working with standard EE tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, etc.) Writing and maintaining documentation with Atlassian based tools and git version control systems Mentoring team members on their portions of the design and improving their skillsets You'll Need These Qualifications: Master's or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or similar field 7+ years of experience working in a relevant role designing electronic hardware Experience with ground up PCBA design, from specification to assembled product Proficient in system architecture, circuit design and simulation Power electronics or switch mode power supply design experience Understanding of embedded systems design and related concepts Strong problem solving and debugging skills Familiarization with testing methodologies and best practices Clear communicator and collaborator with team members Desired Qualifications: Experience with digital power control and implementing application specific microcontrollers (TI C2000, STM D-power or equivalent product lines) Knowledge of battery systems Developed embedded system firmware Test fixture/jig design for production or test environments Benefits: Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) Short Term & Long-Term Disability Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Holidays) 401(k) Retirement Plan plus company match Company Shares Plan You'll love this job if you: Are driven to be part of a team doing big things to help our planet Aspire to work with a successful veteran startup management team Are a self-starter and always find ways to get your work done and help team members Are an organized, detail-oriented person being very good at time management Are determined and resilient to keep things moving forward at a startup pace Are assertive and able to influence and partner with the team to get things done Enjoy new challenges and change Iontra has an equal employment opportunity (EEO) policy that provides that no applicant or staff member will be discriminated against on the basis of gender, race, color, age, religion, marital status, pregnancy, veteran status, national origin, disability, or sexual orientation.
