A Day in the Life at Lansing: CDL Driver HOME EVERY NIGHT CDL Driver's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location) CDL Driver Responsibilities: Lives the mission statement Acts as a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites Provides exceptional service to each Lansing customerand constantly strive to improve that level of service Keeps warehouse clean and orderly This is a "get-the-job-done" kind of position...you may be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc. CDL Driver Qualifications: CDL B (or A) license is required for this position CDL Driver must have a clean driving record 1C Hoisting License is preferred Have moffett forklift experience Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus -- and to work as a contributing member of a larger team Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds Experience with building products is very helpful Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude At least one year of driving experience Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck A Career with Lansing Building Products Offers: Coverage to support your overall well-being: Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA with company contributions, Health Advocate and EAP Investment in your future: Competitive 401k, Employer Match of 50% up to 15% of salary Culture: Great Place to Work Certified every year since 2019 Work/Life Balance: Paid Vacation & Sick Days Growth/Development: Tuition Reimbursement & Training Programs Other Added Benefits: Company Paid Parental Leave Company Paid Life Insurance Short Term & Long-Term Disability Paid Holidays Health and Wellness program Volunteer Time Lansing Building Products is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace committed to building a diverse team of qualified individuals.
