Position Overview

The Controller at Radiance Solar LLC will oversee all financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management within the construction or renewable energy sector and a proactive approach to improving financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements.
    • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making.
    • Develop financial reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Lead the annual budgeting process, including forecasts and variance analysis.
    • Monitor and report on financial performance against the budget.
    • Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections.
  • Accounting and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
    • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
    • Coordinate external audits and prepare audit materials.
  • Cash Flow Management:
    • Monitor and manage the company's cash flow to ensure financial stability.
    • Optimize financial resources and develop strategies for cash management.
  • Construction Job Costing:
    • Develop and maintain accurate job costing systems to track project costs.
    • Analyze job costs and provide detailed reports on cost variances.
    • Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of project costs.
    • Implement and monitor cost control measures to optimize project profitability.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and develop the finance and accounting team.
    • Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment.
    • Provide mentorship and training to team members.
  • Internal Controls and Process Improvement:
    • Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
    • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably within the construction or renewable energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing a team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to ethical business practices.
