Job Summary:

In this unique role you will support both our end user desktop environment as well as our existing VoIP phone system. The right candidate for this position will have the knowledge and experience to work on Windows desktops/laptops troubleshoot printers of all types, nursing mobile carts, conference room systems, etc. and will work closely with all members and levels of the IT department. Troubleshoot VoIP phone issues. This is a dynamic position that touches a lot of our patient and clinical facing systems and hardware. You will be working directly with Doctors, Nurses and patient care staff. You will interact with all hospital staff. Most work will be done independently. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via email) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Solid understanding of Windows 10 in a domain environment.
  • Windows laptop and desktop troubleshooting and resolution
  • Work independently and have the ability to escalate issues when needed
  • Write technical documents and share knowledge with staff
  • Perform onsite analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, including offsite repair for remote users as needed.
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software in order to deliver required desktop service levels.
  • Experience with VoIP phones and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Cisco Call Manager. Adds, moves and changes. The ability to build a call flow based on user and or business requirements.
  • VoIP network troubleshooting using tools such as Variphy, wire-shark etc.
  • Experience with CAT5/CAT6 cable troubleshooting and design
  • Collaborate with network Engineers to ensure efficient operation of the company's network, server and desktop environment. Includes virtual and wireless environments.
  • Where required, administer and resolve issues with associated end-user workstation networking software products.
  • Receive and respond to incoming calls and/or e-mails regarding desktop problems.
  • Familiarity with a modern ticketing and or service management system
  • Answer to and perform moves, adds, and changes (MAC) requests for both desktop issues as well as VoIP issues
  • Basic Cisco switch configuration. Familiarity with Cisco ios command line.
  • Accurately document instances of desktop equipment or component failure, repair, installation, and removal.
  • If necessary, liaise with third-party support and PC equipment vendors.
  • Assisting vendors and healthcare providers to install, maintain and troubleshoot the Healthcare related equipment.
  • Develop and maintain an overall IT asset management system for tracking and maintaining inventory.
  • Assist in the setup and troubleshooting of smartphones as well as handheld mobile units and peripheral scanning devices.
  • Good communication and organizational skills needed as well as exceptional customer service skills
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after hours VoIP support
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements/Experience:
  • Must have minimum of 3+ years experience in a similar role supporting ends and remote workers. Minimum of 2 years experience installing and supporting VoIP phone system is a plus.
  • Must have a technical/vocational school diploma in Computer Science or relatable field. Associate's degree or higher in Computer Science or relatable field is preferred.
  • Comptia A+ (Preferred)
  • Comptia Network+ (Preferred)
  • Google Certified Technician is a plus
  • Cisco CCNA (Preferred)


Special Requirements:

Experience with Cisco Callmanager and Imagicle contact center software is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting, standing, stooping, reaching, bending throughout the work day. Keyboarding, use of hands (fine and gross motor skills).

Work Environment:

Office settings. May have to work in small spaces to run cable/wiring.

Cognitive Requirements:

Analytical problem solving, multitasking, maintaining focus, processing written/verbal instructions.
