Job Location DoubleTree by Hilton Campbell Pruneyard Plaza - Campbell, CA Job Details Description The Outlet Bartender is responsible for preparing drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems; providing the highest quality service to guests and servers, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hours of operation while also maintaining control over the liquor inventory.

Qualifications **Education & Experience:**

* High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.

* Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations)

**Physical requirements:**

* Long hours sometimes required.

* Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

* Ability to stand during entire shift.

**Mental requirements:**

* Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.

* Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.

* Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the issues raised by co-workers and guests.

* Must be able to work with basic arithmetic functions.

* Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with our guests/employees. Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.

* Flexibility remain open to change. Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations.

* Tenacity able to push through obstacles. Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.

**KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**

**Essential Requirement:**

* Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.

* Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards, scheduling will vary according to the hotel business demands.

* Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming (per brand standards).

* Always comply with the hotels standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.

* Comply with certification requirements as applicable to position to include Alcohol Awareness, Food Handlers, Safety, etc.

* Perform opening and closing side work according to hotel standards to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.

* Prepare beverages and cocktails according to the companys mixing, portion control and presentation standards.

* Serve guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, courteous, and professional manner.

* Be familiar with the operation of the P.O.S. system.

* Assist with maintaining beverage cost.

* Scan each guests ID prior to serving them.

* Always ask patrons of questionable age for proper identification.

* Greet and acknowledge guests in a timely manner.

* Smile and establish approachability with each guest.

* Serve guests promptly (within 3 minutes of order).

* Ensure that the bar is kept clean and tidy. Clear bar/tables promptly after guest(s) depart.

* Follow check ringing procedures. Each transaction must be rung in **immediately** after the order is placed.

* Carry out cashiering functions in closing checks and present each guest with a receipt, even if they do not ask for one.

* Follow all state liquor laws. NEVER serve intoxicated patrons alcohol.

* Keep pour sizes **consistent**.

* Sanitize eating area, as used, every 20 minutes.

* Wash or sanitize hands every 20-30 minutes while in high contact areas.

* Follow hotels COVID-19 procedures

**Secondary Requirements:**

* Be helpful and knowledgeable with questions asked.

* Upsell beer, liquor, and wine whenever possible.

* Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor.

* Be familiar with the function of each department.

* Attend meetings as required by management.

* Perform any other duties as requested by management.
