Regional Sales Manager

Position Summary:
As the Regional Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in business development activities, engaging in prospecting and nurturing key relationships with both existing and potential customer accounts. Your primary focus will be on delivering revenue and growth targets from North or South America in existing and emerging markets.
You will be responsible for implementing sales plans, working diligently to achieve agreed targets, and managing key accounts and established customers to protect revenue and expand wallet share. Additionally, you will develop and execute effective selling and negotiating tactics to secure orders successfully.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Industrial sales team on shared projects and strategy to achieve annual revenue and profit targets.
- Serve as the main point of contact for a portfolio of customers, both domestically and internationally, liaising effectively with internal departments to ensure timely fulfilment of requests.
- Cultivate strong relationships with existing key accounts and customer portfolio to maximize product portfolio, safeguard historical revenue, and explore new opportunities.
- Support and coach OE representatives and agencies on targeting accounts, creating an account action plan, and working with the reps to drive/acquire new business.
- Provide clients with technical knowledge and support, both remotely and through face-to-face interactions.
- Lead cost analysis, quotation submissions, and pricing negotiations.
- Utilize business development techniques and market intelligence to identify and engage new customers in target markets.
- Monitor customer account and sales performance to report on activity, KPIs, and trends in a timely manner.
- Gather and share market intelligence data with Sales and Marketing teams, assisting in developing go-to-market strategies, value propositions, and market reach tactics to exceed customers' latent needs.
- Manage client relationships to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high levels of satisfaction.
- Stay informed of external factors that could impact the Company's commercial activities.
- Foster collaborative relationships with other departments to achieve growth objectives.
- Represent the Company externally at Trade Shows, Conferences, etc., to enhance and strengthen our industry profile.
- Maintain shared files, folders, databases, and CRM software.
- Demonstrates a positive and enthusiastic demeanor with effective interpersonal skills, influencing others positively.
- Works effectively within a team environment and presents confidently at all levels.
- Proficient in making presentations and undertaking public speaking with skill and confidence.
- Projects credibility and focuses on customer needs and satisfaction.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workflow efficiently.
- Exhibits excellent organizational skills and consistently delivers projects on time.
- Possesses outstanding numerical and analytical abilities.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally within EMEA/APAC, depending on customer portfolio, with some experience desirable.
- Displays an appetite for continuous learning and improvement.
- Possesses clear, articulate communication skills both orally and in writing.
- Familiarity with MS Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experienced in consultative selling and value-add sales environments.
- Demonstrates the ability to establish and maintain long-term positive relationships.
- Ideally from an industrial/technical background, with the drive to understand customer applications, problems, and drivers to develop effective solutions.
- Experience in supporting the growth of sales pipelines and closing high-value opportunities.
- Proficient in leading contracts and facilitating win-win negotiations with customers and indirect market-reach channels.
- Skilled in preparing Sales reports and providing sales analysis to Divisional Manager.
- Knowledge of CRM platforms such as Salesforce and business systems like D365, SAP, Epicor, Oracle, etc.
- Bachelor's in Engineering, sales / marketing, or technical background combined with marketing experience, or Three years Sales and Marketing experience at a manager level
- Ability to travel 50-80% as needed
- Preferred; Five to Seven years of experience in sales, or market/product management in a global organization.
