Job Title: LOTO Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced LOTO Manager to join our team. This role involves observing and promoting company and site safety policies, reviewing contractual specifications for project completion and commissioning requirements, and creating and finalizing turnover packages. The successful candidate will also set up tracking, reporting, and turnover documentation, ensuring field teams understand and implement these tools. Additionally, this position requires developing and implementing commissioning and startup plans, coordinating and leading various phases of project efforts, and maintaining proper documentation to support record-keeping and reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Observe and promote company and site safety policies.
  • Review contractual specifications for completion and commissioning requirements of projects.
  • Create, verify, and finalize turnover boundaries and turnover packages.
  • Set up tracking, reporting, and turnover documentation of projects and ensure field teams understand and implement the tools.
  • Review, plan, and communicate vendor requirements with personnel performing commissioning efforts.
  • Develop and implement commissioning and startup plans.
  • Ensure satisfactory implementation by field teams during execution of completion and commissioning plans.
  • Perform and accept/reject verifications of construction status and completion on equipment.
  • Perform and accept inspection of installed devices and completion of field-required setup and verifications.
  • Coordinate and lead checkout, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases of project efforts by addressing problems and routine requirements of equipment and devices.
  • Ensure the process of maintaining proper documentation of activities is being followed in order to support record-keeping and reporting requirements, including turnover documentation.
  • Assist and support personnel in activities required by the Completions and Commissioning department.
  • Independently lead projects for Completions and Commissioning, including proposal support.
  • Understand various testing equipment operation processes and procedures as well as logical controllers and field control systems (PLCs) as integrated in startup procedures.
  • Oversight and support of project work activities for mechanical: piping, rotating equipment, stationary equipment, steel, welding, rigging, insulation, heat trace, paint, hydrostatic testing, fire protection, and coatings.
  • Oversight and support for electrical activities: installation, conduit, cable pulls, relay testing, substation, terminations.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in construction, LOTO, construction management, safety, lockout/tagout, commissioning, and construction project completions.
  • Experience managing lockout/tagout for large, greenfield projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all personnel on the project from Project Manager to apprentice craftsman.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Lockout/Tagout program, including testing and documentation.
  • Management of all aspects of LOTO on the project, including training, documentation, and LOTO materials.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 11 years of Completions and/or Commissioning experience.
  • Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering/Technology, Construction Management, or a relevant field of study preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, BlueBeam, and Cloud-Based Software.
  • OSHA 30 Hour Certification required (minimum of 30 hours of OSHA training).
Work Environment

This role involves working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, often on large, greenfield projects. The successful candidate will interact with various levels of personnel, from project managers to apprentice craftsmen, ensuring effective communication and implementation of safety and commissioning protocols. The work environment requires adherence to safety standards and proper documentation practices to support record-keeping and reporting requirements.

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $81.00
